Repeal of statutory dismissal, disciplinary and grievance procedures. The new ACAS Code is part of a new regime under the Employment Act 2008.
Greater emphasis is placed on the mechanics of how to manage disciplinary issues, grievances and dismissals. The Act also provides for the employment tribunal to be able to increase or reduce certain awards by up to 25% where the employer or employee unreasonably fails to comply with the new Acas Code.
